i've never heard this song, but just reading the lyrics makes me think that it's about cocaine.
Hold your head back to make it real, if it makes you numb, if it makes you feel okay
after someone does cocaine, they put their head back.
Was it you who said to me, “I would never want to be down?”
being "down", or not high. she wouldn't want to be without cocaine.
Breathing in from your keys,
people cut up cocaine and then put it back in their baggies so that they can "key up" or do "key
bumps", which is when you scoop up a little bit of cocaine with the tip of your nail or key and
inhale/snort it.
can we touch the ceiling now?
asking her if they're high enough yet.
Katie, hey, where did you go? Where did you go?
either she literally disappears for a while, trying to score cocaine and be constantly high, or
she's so out of it from the drugs that it's like she's not really "there"
You want to be down, you want to get out
she says she wants to quit, yet she continues to use.
Do you finally feel alive?
she just wants to feel alive, which is her excuse for doing drugs/cocaine.
i could be completely off, but that's what first comes to mind after reading the lyrics.
