The chorus in this song makes me think Christianity. The "Sun in my hands" would be the fact that he has Christ in his life, but he's questioning his faith. "Becomes my despair" could that he thirsts for more wisdom about life and existence, but he's told that all the wisdom in the world is in the Bible, and he feels it isn't enough. His faith becomes his despair because he knows there's wisdom beyond religion, and he has to reject his faith to attain it.

But I could be completely off the mark.
I can't believe there's so many people who actually think Warrel Dane is a Christian! Ugh....
