This is a pretty cool song. I think in this song the guy is saying that he's been hurt in the past and doesn't want to go through that again and is trying to avoid love, but someone comes into his life who he thinks he is starting to fall for. However, he tries to resist her, but in the end he says

A little more time"
meaning he's finally willing to take the chance, but he needs some time to prepare himself...or something like that. That's my take.
