"The suns Seas" is a term ocasionally used to discribe the space surounding the sun filled with high levels of radioactive activity. The quote mentioned by Eienstien, (mentioned earlier) was a reference to the machanics of the world, but of course, still referes to the universe.
As for space being desolate. what we currently KNOW of it yes. But this song is not about what we know. it is about what and how we dream. These are his visions, his perspective and his ideas of journying to another world, more vibrant and beautyful than our own......not a document of the traveling. as that would talk about the vast nothingness.
