I can't believe there's only one comment on this song. It's amazing. I think it's about a girl wanting to be a big part of a boy's life. She wants to be painted into his sunshine, or in other words, his brightest, happiest, most cherished thing. They'll always have eachother as eachother's sunshine, that's what the "one day the world will grow colder" verse means.
