I know it might mean something else, but i have a really close relationship with this friend of mine and i'm always finding songs that relate to his and my walk together and when i go through hard times i can easily see him singing this song to me. It gives a hope for a better tomorrow, like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. the last stanza is just a glimpse into the future. Its a beautiful song and i love it. Where i'm right or not is besides the point, its just how i feel about the song. ha
