In my mind, this song as a whole is about lovers who both feel as one on a very deep, yet basic level. This song describes what they have, what could be or could not be, and also the hopes and dangers of their future together that only time will tell. This is not a beginning or an end, it's continuity. I feel that this song is special because so many other songs about "love" are so superficial and evanescent in meaning. I believe that this song goes much deeper than that. It may even suggest the immortality of such love. I'm already impressed with Fever Ray... so much that The Knife's intermission doesn't bother me so much anymore.
