I was wondering, in the acoustic version, is there some violin right at the start - after a few notes (is that what you would call it?) on the guitar. It just sounds so perfect, like really suspensfull. I think I've heard that sort of thing in a movie or something before, thats probably why it sounds so good.
Anyway, really good song. I love the line 'fire in the breeze, a bitter omen for us all', always makes me think of the smell of the sweet smoke that seems to only catch in the air in the late afternoon. Kisschasy uses their lyrics masterfully - turning language into something much deeper.
