Halifax are an amazing band, saw them gig and it was a wonderful experience. :) Haha.
As for meanings, this to me seems to be about someone who's changed and perhaps cheating, maybe they were engaged or married or something - "Cause I'm worth more than the finger that is bearing your class ring", but they're messing them around - "Give me a reason to believe all the things that you told me".
