I think this is about growing old, and wanting people to remember the young you than the older or weaker you.
"buried my mother, father, sister, brother, lover So why'd they treat me like a child?" Is possibly the most easy to understand example.
The "demons dancing" I'm sure is something to do with workign in a factory but don't trust me on that one.
