Cover art for Lay Down Your Arms lyrics by Flowers From The Man Who Shot Your Cousin

i find this reminiscent of "to is coy mistress" by marvell. it seems to be to be a poem of seduction. he is telling her, just as the speaker in "to his coy mistress," that they shouldn't waste time and their youth, but throw themselves into love and its passion.
