Bascially this song is about the music scene and the direction it has gone in. They are first mentioning that fame should be saved for someone who truely deserves it. refering clones to people who arnt real or true to thei music.(just copy cats) when he would first hear new music with unique style and potential he would fall in love with it. But then the "sworm came along" "taught everybody their song" and their numbers blocked out the sun. endless amounts of bands just started taking over someones style but not in a good way they didnt make it their own they would make it just like the origanl band. So in conclusion he is saying that if this who he should be now or be catorgized as then he doesnt want anymore of it.
