I like this song a lot, probably my favorite off of Strictly Leakage. I think the meaning is fairly simple incase someone doesn't get it... It's about the things that people love in life and can't stop doing...which actually turn out to be pretty bad for them.
Obviously if you listen to it: malt liquor, menthols/cigs, cable tv, sugar, krispy creams, coffee, energy drinks, fast food, etc... it all fits. I like it so much because it really makes you think about your bad habits...because everyone loves at least some of these things, and the negative consequences of them all would be why they are "the things that hate us".
I don't know, there might be a deeper meaning but this album is really crazy and fun so i doubt it. It's still a smooth one though.
