i think its that everyone nowadays is so pararnoid about everything. things are so unpredictable (first verse) meaning that no one trusts anything anymore: "cause no one likes what they're not"
maybe the paranoia stems from the bombing, but i think now its just become second nature for people not to trust anyone anymore because of society in general.
