This is off of the dead winter dead album its about the Bosnian War in the nineties; its clearly from someone who feels misunderstood:
"(I) don't understand what you want me to be
It's the dark you're hating, it's not who I am
But I know that it's all that you see"
It was basically a civil war involving ethnic groups (and such crimes as you'd expect: allegedly there was rape, concentration camps, genocide)
I think the band was trying to preach tolerance. Theres a love story on the album about a Serb boy and a Muslim girl. I don't really know much about this war so if I have it wrong Please correct it.
Anyway i think the lyrics are pretty and isn't this a rondella? (4 "people" singing and overlapping) Thats not easy to do. Also I like the guitar bit in the middle.
