I actually like the song, so here's my take on it,
So I think its about Nick Jonas, and here is why:
"Sometimes I wonder if everything changed
How would we make out
And now suddenly thunder and everything’s changed
There’s this big dark cloud
Hovering, hovering, hovering, hovering"
-This could deal with her wondering how things could have been and the 'Hovering' part could be the media always around and always talking about them and their relationship.
"Troubling, stumbling, fumbling for the words to say that I’m leaving you"
-Apparently she was the one to leave Nick, near 2007 near years.
These are just guess's to what I have read in interviews and the medias take on everything.
