This song sounds very lighthearted and the video is great fun (a bunch of people waiting in line for popsicles and ice cream). The reality of it is that it's about two very shallow people who are after the same thing - sex. And they'll do whatever it takes to get it. It's more or less an updated version of the old Jimmy Buffet song "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw?" Eric Hutchinson's approach is a little less direct, but nevertheless, it has exactly the same meaning.
Not much depth or philosophizing in this song, but fun to listen to.
