im pretty sure this song is all about a bunch of old guys with big beards who have went through the civil war together and have been best friends for 50 years
they probably lost a few friends that they always remember and tell stories about
one of the guys has alzheimers and forgets they died
but all these guys get together every other night (excluding sundays) and play poker listening to this song
