That's just heartbreakingly nice, snow patrol just get better.
I love all the storm metaphors throughout it, how in the first bit he seems to be talking about their relationship being a storm, like exciting and powerful and how she is "the lightning in me"
and then it continues in the second part with "accidents of faith and nature", because obviously storms and weather are parts of nature, and he's comparing them with that like it is natural that they have come together as a pair but they needed faith to carry it on and everything, and that she can "stop waving your arms, you're safe and dry", I just imagine that like her in some masssive stormy sea and he's just felt like he has rescued her from it
and then obviously the last bit, with the life rafts and that he suddenly felt his worth in the middle of the flood, like they are relying on one another so much and.. yes. :) amazing song, I love it.
