I agree with the first comment left by Rocio. But I think it could have another meaning as well..

This is what i take from it:

I'm so tired of staring at the wall But I know I've got to put you down And I keep trying to make sense of it all But I can't keep going around and 'round

Here she speaks about how lately she's not been able to think of anything but what she should do: break up or stay together with her boyfriend. She finds herself unable to decide whether or not to make the decision and do it, even though she knows in her heart it's going to happen sooner or later. She knows eventually she is going to break it off.

And you know me well You know me better than this And I can't be sure if you're something I'd miss

When she says, you know me better than this, I think she means that her partner knows she's not acting her normal self. She's been kind of down and depressed and not normal for her. Because she's got such a self conflict going on. When she says, she can't be sure if you're something she'd miss, she doesn't know how much more depressed she may or may not be after the initial split. She scared to feel regret after she breaks it off.

Cause I've heard it all before I've heard it all before

I think what she's heard before is the same old, "I love yous" "We can make this work" "We're not going downhill" "You're the best girlfriend ever" The same old lines he uses (or past boyfriend's have used) that make her want to stay but at the same time knows breaking up is inevitable.

I keep finding a little piece of me Every time we disagree

Everytime they fight she remembers why they aren't meant to be

And your words float like dandelions every other way I can't keep listening to what you say

He always has something to tell her to try to convince her to stay and try to convince her things are okay. She's just so used to giving into what he says.

Cause I've heard it all before I've heard it all before

And I'll take everything I can And I'll throw it out the door

She's finally made the decision to leave

Yeah, I've heard it all before I've heard it all before And I'll take everything I can But I've heard it all before

I dont think the song necessarily has to be about breaking up because of cheating.. But maybe just because they both know its over, and she's the only one accepting that. For whatever reason, be it they've grown apart, or are going on different paths in life... Maybe the relationship has become nothing but routine.. But I think at the beginning she just can't decide whether or not breaking up is the best thing for them or her...

Described this way, this song is basically about my life! Ughh.. and I'm the girl.

I think you have the interpretation spot on. That's exactly how I see it as well. But I guess all interpretations are left to personal opinion and experience...
