well, it's obvious to me
its directed at the media and the paparazzi (if thats how you spell it)
two years ago, brandon flowers launched an attack at all emo music,
and he had a huge fight with pete wentz (frm fall out goy).
"we used to tear it down/but now we just exist" is talking bout how they
used to be HUGE and now they're not as famous or well loved. (i still love you brandon)
"in those ugly pink apartments with the hustlers and the kids" pretty much sums up
their target audience. lower class, lowlife photographers and reporters who right bad
things about the killers.
it's also directed at pete wentz, and all emo musicians who may have had their feelings hurt by
brandons attacks.
this is one of my fave songs by them 'cause i really relate to the song. my friends and i got in
a fight and i said some stuff i shouldnt have.
