yeah its about seeing your ex so much happier and better off without you. and hes like sort of (slightly) in denial about being okay with it. and its obviously not easy to cope. the line 'i guess your not mine' .. makes me wonder if the ex in this situation maybe left the door open to possibilities with the guy. like 'oh i guess you didnt want me after all' .. cause people can mislead you into thinking theirs hope in the future, just to ease the rejection.
