When I saw B.S.S recently, Kevin changed the lyrics somewhere to something like, "the pressure kids like to sit in arcades talking about themselves because that's all they ever do". For some reason, that really changed the meaning for me.
I just saw BSS recently in Portland, and I noticed that Kevin changes a lot of lyrics to a lot of the songs. I don't know if he makes them up on the spot based on the crowd/surroundings, etc...or just has a bunch of different lyrics he throws in there.

The lyrics live are also usually much more amazing and relevant to our lives. I think he does this because he doesn't really care to give everyone his real messages.

In this song he definitely said, "The pressure kids, they all need to be themselves. Oh they're givin in. My pressure kids, they all need to dream themselves. So they lie (or lay) and hear themselves. Oh they're givin' in. The pressure kids. They all need to lead themselves. Get on your knees and lead yourselves. Oh they're givin' in. The pressure kids. They all need to dream themselves. So they lie(not sure) and lead themselves."
Also, they closed the show with "it's all gonna break" and he added in lyrics from cause=time and some others in the middle of the song. Like: if you always get up late you're never gonna be ontime." And he added lyrics from Major label debut, but instead of saying "you laughed when you came down" I'm pretty damn sure he said, "I think you got your life when you came down." I was tripping, but I'm pretty damn sure. It blew my mind. Oh, and he threw in new lyrics that say, "makin' it work takes a little longer. makin' it work takes a little time." Best show ever. See them.
A lot of the lyrics, esp. on Spirit if sound a lot different to me than the lyrics I've read, and I listened to the album a LOT before I ever read the lyrics. I think it's all on purpose and some of the written lyrics are just changed to hide the real ones or real meaning.
