I am a non christian, but Jars of Clay is one of my favorite bands. They don't talk about how great god is, they talk about what they feel because of god. It's genius, they don't alienate anyone, and offer a lot to think about even if you don't believe as they do.
Someone such as myself feels the same as this song describes. Just because I don't care for an afterlife doesn't devoid this life of meaning. It's still pretty damn boring though, and this song soothes those feelings by pointing out that whoever you are, you're not alone.
