To me the song is talking about how as Christians we need other christians in our lives. The bible says in:
1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and tha you may be perfectly united in mind and thought
That even if you don't like someone, you should still treat them as family. Sometimes even blood family makes us angry but we stil respect them. Well in Christ we're family. It reminds me of my youth group, sometimes we get on each others last nerves but in the end we're still a spiritual family. And I know despite the spats we get into, I need them there to keep me sane and balanced.
