I was thinking about this, and you know how they wrote 'this is how it goes' about aaron's MS, maybe this could do alot with that, too. I mean, it took aaron a long time to addmit it because he didn't want sympathy so thats what I think it's about.
But its pretty much about sympathy and how much they hate it.
I've heard this in concert a few times, and every time they play this, Ben always starts to talk about Steven Harper ("Forget Bush, the man you really need to worry about is Steven Harper"). I can see where people see relationships, but I see this more as a political song talking about how the government lies to us, and uses the news to manipulate us. All that crap everyone else sings about, but for Canada.
