for me this song is about trying so hard to build a relationship with a girl and to get things started with her and she doesn't seem as interested and even tho the guy keeps trying even tho the girl slowy drifts away and doesn't really care, finally the guy accepts the reality...."oh i try, they can't say i didn't try".... im still not shure what the real meaning is tho :(
