I can see 3 possibilities for this song:

One is what the previous posters have indicated. Paranoia and fear as tools to control others. The governments view of it's people. "You know what your good for"

The second one is that it is a song from 'death' to humanity. He is sort of mocking our resistence of his pull, you can run and hide but everyone gets theirs in the end. He waits everywhere and you could die at anytime. In essence we are deaths bitch.

The last one came to me while watching Dexter, the TV show. The line, "I don’t know about you But I am at peace, I know what it is that I must do." After I heard that, alot of dots connected for me on the song. Not the most likely interpretation, but, one that puts a spin on it.

Anyway, take 'em or leave 'em, this is what I have to offer.

The "Death" thing makes sense because he would have a "bony" knee
