Favourite song on the album.
For some reason I always think of the book, the Northern Lights when I hear this.
It is obviously about returning from a vaction "I have left a million stars
And an ocean light and clearly blue" somewhere tropical and with little infrastructure, hence she can see the stars.
And now she has come home to Britain "Northern Skies" and for once she finds happiness there and has a greater sense of appreciation for the place she lives in.
That is my interpreation anyway.
