My first thoughts on the lyrics was that it was about a woman that can't seem to find love anywhere, and so offers herself sexually to people to find out if that's what love is all about, in the end having a feeling of emptiness, lonliness, and eventually insanity. Your interpretation works really well tho, so I think I agree with you.
