I agree very much on the lyrics meaning, but not so much on the rest.
Being a christian doesn't mean being an all-around good person, a christian is a person who has excepted Jesus Christ as the one who died so you can spend eternity in heaven. Now, the bible does say once you have excepted Christ, you should be more Christ-like to build your walk with God, but a Christian is one who is saved by Christ.
