These boys were only 18 when they made the album "From Genesis to Revelation". Jonathan King gave them their name and the rather pretentious idea of truncating the biblical history of the world in just a few easy pop songs. Biblical imagery is something the band has enjoyed from this period to the present, so there were no arguements there. The concept, however was executed in a very vague sense. Not all, and in fact most of the songs on this record are not directly linked to the concept, and can only be interpreted in that direction in a rather vague way. A few songs were adapted from earlier efforts written before Jonathan King stepped in as producer. Still - some interesting lyrical imagery from a young Peter Gabriel and folks.
