i really enjoy how some of john darnielle's songs are so specific (possibly personal?) that there's not much to debate about, meaning-wise. and since this is another one of the alpha couple songs, there's so much more brought into thinking about it, it has history and it's a completely different song from no children, but they go together! genius! that man is a gawd-dang genius!
