The imagery makes me think of a very large distance, nigh impossible to cross, that they're facing anyway. [we must go only 1000 seas farther, 1000 dark timeless years. 1000 stars passing by...] makes me think of a type of optimism and how when you're fighting for love that you're willing to climb any mountain.
