Silenced Lyrics

I agree partly with codycurth. My interpretation of this song is someone who is sick and tired of feeling feeble and weak. Sick and tired of everyone else dictating how his life should be, and how he feels emotionally and spiritually numbed because of the constant indoctrination and dehumanization our government imposes upon us. To quote a favorite movie, "We have no great war, no great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives." Our education system is a sad joke, instead of teaching us valuable things, biased and subjective information is drilled into our heads until we believe it. We're told to think for ourselves, but this means sharing the same universal 'opinion.' Everywhere I go, hollow conversation is being made. Modern religion in America is nothing but another motif for control. Our government is engineering disasters, then stepping in and proclaiming to have all the answers. They've forgotten the important aspects of our system, but apparently so have the American people. We are continually stripped of rights, among other things. I find myself feeling numb, in a world that seems so fake. Sadly, it's all a reality. This song is about someone who's just really fuckign sick of it, this perpetual decline.
