Lyric discussion by dwitefry

From what i can gather from various autobiographies and The Complete Clash guide to thier songs, it's about an ex of Mick Jones' (Guitar). I can't remember her bloody name.

The song was mostly written by Jones and certainly existed before Joe Strummer (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) joined the band. I'm pretty sure the song is a bitter exaggeration of a lyric, meant to just put down the girl, she was a drug addict (I believe she did take heroin 'baby I've seen your arms' but not so much) and was a bit...free if you get my drift.

It's worth noting that a lot of Mick Jones' lyrics are pretty much about his own life ('Train in Vain' 'Stary Free' 'Up in Heaven').

The 100 club is a small, underground music venue and bar in Oxford Street, London.

OK. So what's the problem with turning up alone at the 100 Club? Why would that matter?
