Actually, this sone is by Justin Hinds and the Dominoes, and its called "Carry Go Bring Home"

Hinds' lyrics were influenced both by his religious background and by the Jamaican oral tradition, which is based on storytelling, proverbs, sayings and songs. His first hit, "Carry Go Bring Come," was about a gossip

"This carry-go-bring-come my dear brings misery, This carry-go-bring-come my dear brings misery. You're going from home to home, making disturbances. It's time you stop doing these things, you old Jezebel."

Then Hinds states that it is "better to seek a home in Mount Zion high instead of keeping oppression upon an innocent man" and concludes by asking "how long shall the wicked reign over my people." Its about a pretty wicked woman- Jezebel is a biblical Queen who is known as manipulative and evil. Hence the Mount Zion reference. In Jamaican Patois, a Jezebel is a wonam who either is a slut or you dont like very much. This song is talking about a woman whom the singer doesnt particulary like very much. And she talks alotta smack.

Justin Hinds and the Dominoes, not Dekker.

OK,

I get what a Jezebel in but what does "Carry Go Bring Come" mean?

I have asked two people who grew up in Jamaica and haven't got a satisfying answer yet.

Any one know?
