This song is amazing. I love AM! This song seems to just be about a woman who's getting to that age where everyone expects her to settle down & be that perfect Stepford wife & mother, but she just doesn't want to. She's been living her life her own way for so long and just because she's getting older she doesn't feel obligated to give that up & be what everyone wants her to be.
It's obviously not about a teenage girl:
