This song is particularly meaningful to me. My first love went to school in Burlington, VT for a couple of years, and I would travel several hundred miles every other weekend to be with her. We even used to listen to this exact song and discuss how it was similar to us.

To me the song is about a passionate love affair that he had with a Canadian Girl while they were both living in Burlington. Eventually their lives drifted apart (perhaps she had to go back to Vancouver). Several years later he is inspired to take a trip back to the town and reminisce about what he had with her.

I love the line: "And every single hope and dream I could ever conjure up Passionately springs in me and all things are possible Plausible and perfectly both of ours forever after and every day"

He is suggesting that he believes he could someday have love like that again, even though "I dont think that well ever get there again."

Now, even though I am no longer with my first love, perhaps someday I too will take a trip back to Burlington someday, to remember the powerful relationship I had with her, and to come full circle with this song that means so much to me.
