I think its showing how they used to be but now things are changing and he doesnt know what to do,and it makes him feel like a ghost..incomplete i guess..and he misses the times they used to talk all night and he maybe feels like they are losing each other..and he wonders if she can still see who he really is and if shes listening and if she still feels how she did before.
