Just got the new cd and I am jamming to this song.
I think the last line pretty much sums it up:
"the kindest love is still bleeding from the last shot"
Real love, true love is expressed by loving and moving forward even when it hurts more than anything. It's kind of like that analogy of turning the other cheek and loving anyway.
When they say I'm afraid you've stopped to lick your wounds, maybe its like, it's no good to sit hurt and dwell on how you've been hurt... which is something we all do.
But "it's no good if you can have it all." That's not real life.
