Yes, I agree. Though I think he is singing about it not just in regard to the John Lennon situation, but also with regard to his band and other really popular bands at the time. Perhaps? Now I am double guessing myself. Then again , It would just be really weird during that time period that The Stones would actually write a song about The Beatles. Their ego’s were too big to do that. Seriously.

I think this song might be about John Lennon. The FBI had a big file on him in an attempt to have him deported (which failed).
