Are you guys kidding me? This is one of their most meaningful songs. It refers to many important philosophies.

He's on a flight away from somewhere/someone important to him. You don't know if he is returning to his original place or if he is leaving forever, as the last line, "I'm never coming back for anything," can apply to either scenarios.

He feels like his life is a routine and that nothing ever changes. He's been living for over 20 years and when he looks back on at all he really sees nothing, his past is indistinguishable from a dream. Perhaps the times were very long and tedious, or perhaps when he looks back on those memories everything went by in a flash.

"Still learning from this never ending dream" means that even though his life is a routine and that nothing ever changes, his views and thoughts towards things continue to change. A second experience may have a different perspective.

He also learned to give up on things like love, the search for truth, hope, etc. Love is what gives him hope to move on, but it also signifies him with all of the negative human traits (i.e. lust, greed).

"But something's wrong And I just can't seem to figure out the scheme" His life is pretty much a dream, and although every day is the same, he feels like there is supposed to be something more. Maybe since he is leaving a special something he feels like something was not done. Like a missing purpose that could never be identified.

"Another time might make me crazy" He has to move on. Things have to change and if whatever happened occurs again he will not be able to control himself.

"But all I've got is time" This is a very important part of the song. It refers to how he is not really devoted to anything in his life. He's got a lot of time to kill. He may be unmotivated and thus not much can interest him. So he's not a very stressed or anxious person. It may also refer to a person that was rushing him. Since he's lived for over 20 years and expects another 50-60 he knows he has all the time in the world and that whether he is wasting it or not there is always a tomorrow.

"Satisfactions never guaranteed I know you agree" You can never promise someone happiness. The future cannot be predicted and it is absolutely impossible to manipulate another person's feelings. This may be untrue but that is the way that he sees it. . . Something that was expected during his trip was probably excluded or went wrong.

"It's best to live inside our memories" The most insightful line in the song. He has a better past than present and because of this he has poor expectations for the future. He no longer wants to live his life in reality, since he can have dreams of the past that can be vivid and pleasing. Maybe he has lost control over his life and it's just too difficult to regain it. There is obviously a lost involved because memories are records of the past. This means he has something in his past that he no longer has, and unfortunately does not have the ability to repossess it. If he is happy in his dreams then he is happy and for him that means he is successful, and living a better life than a miserable man that he would be in reality.

"And if I make it to the otherside I'll be satisfied I'm never coming back for anything" After reading what I've typed I think you can come up with your own conclusion.
