What I'm thinking from this song is that a night after a fight with her, he still was mad the next morning. He knows it's not working out and after she confirms it for sure, he'd "say" a bunch of truth like no trust between them. He doesn't want his feelings worse if she contradicts his own feelings about all that, that "you're not the one"
