It think this song gets little support for the CC community is because it seems very disjointed. I love the feel, the guitar, the voice, but the message is very tough to extrapolate. I feel like it should be the best song on the album, but I have a lot of trouble relating to it. Adam is such an excellent lyricist, but I think the connect to the emotion behind the lyrics is either too deep or too vague. That said, the song has an excellent mood which clearly signifies depression and regret. Still one of may favorites.
Yes I agree with you. As a non native speaker for me it is difficult to translate the lyrics word by word and try to find a sense into these words - But if I look at Adam when he is singing this song, he acts very emotional.
