The bad skin day is a day when nothing just feels right, and you just let yourself get completely wrapped around that fact to the point where you're convinced that nobody has ever felt this bad before ("I'm a poor soul of Pompeii"). Then reality kinda strikes and he realizes how melodramatic he's being ("Oh Christ I'm such a drama queen"). But he still wants to keep people at a distance so they don't see him like this. I know I get this way when I feel like I'm not working towards something, or contributing in some way ("It feels like we're always waiting. It feels like we're never leading"). I just sit around, not really knowing what to do, just waiting and keep doing the same thing in hopes that something will change or I'll figure out what to do/where to go next in life. When that day happens it'll all be better ("Someday we'll all wear a crown")
KrazyKapnKarl-- I agree with u . I feel its completely about him being a little depressed initially and later ( we'll have our open bus parade) he is more optimistic .
At some point though i feel he's being a little cynical in the end.I dont sense a complete clean optimism in his words where he says we'll all wear the crown. It almost like maybe hes given up but speaking of the last shot half heaterdly
