I've been in 2 long term relationship (total of 6 years), and just got out of the most recent one a year ago. It was a big surprise and it hurt like hell, it took me the entire year to get over it. At the same time my best guy friend recently got a divorce. We never looked at each other any different until one day a couple months ago it just clicked. When I hear this song I think of us.
