I always laugh when I read the discussions of bands that fall under the punk category. You always have some asshole saying "I think this song is about hating cops!" and some other asshole complaining that the band isn't punk.
Anyway, the music is absolutely fantastic, the vocals are killer, this song pumps me up and moves me and that's what music should be about. I don't care if cops are crooked or not, or if LOC is punk or not. If a band can move a person, they are worthy of existance. That's the way I see it.
@BuryYourOwn that's a great philosophy, but you entirely miss the point of the song then... it's a protest song against police killing. LoC is in fact a punk band, but they're also a political band in their entirety. It's just as much punk rock as it is protest art.
