It's just about a bad guy who has fallen for the good girl. She doesn't know that he's 'bad' yet and he's afraid if she finds out what he is really like she wont talk to him or will be frightened of him. He feels though he's been bad in the past he can change for her...although there is certainly a mentality of old dogs can't learn new tricks through out the song
