I think this song is funny because it sounds very upbeat, but when you read the lyrics they seem somewhat hostile or condescending. I can't figure out if he's talking to a person or to himself, but I can imagine him talking to a [now] ex girlfriend "No one gets you anymore," or possibly a fellow band member (since he calls him/her "old boy") who he's pissed at for "telling me to leave." The 'Sunshine' part just comes across as really sarcastic.
If he's talking to himself, it sounds like he's angry at himself for working for the music biz- "steal money from your pockets"- or he's disappointed that he has a "sell-out show," and no one else understands his frustration...
One of the reasons i love the fratellis is because their lyrics are so clever.
To me, it does sound like he's talking to an old girlfriend.
But there are also some important themes to the song.
"Yesterday's heroes in last night's clothes..." ( i thought it was IN last night's clothes but im not sure.) If so i think it means that everyone has their shining moment, and they'll find themselves still living in the past but no longer needed. hence, "no one gets you any...no one needs you any...no one gets you anymore" That's another example of how clever the fratellis...

Yeah, I think it sounds very Beatles-esque.

Any other ideas?
